When do tickets go on sale?
To find out when tickets will be available, search for the event on the Ticketek website or app and review the on-sale details on the event page. You can also check the venue, promoter, or artist websites for additional information. Joining the waitlist for the artist or event, or following Ticketek’s social channels, is another way to stay informed.
Where can I buy tickets?
You can only purchase official tickets from:
The Ticketek website
The Ticketek App
Ticketek Agencies (check the Contact Us page for opening hours and locations)
When should I log in?
Log in close to the on-sale time with your account and payment details ready. Logging in too early may result in a timeout and losing your place in the queue.
Should I open Ticketek in multiple tabs or devices?
No. Using multiple browsers, windows, tabs, or devices can slow your access and interfere with the booking process.
Why am I seeing the Lounge page?
If you see a busy page, it means a popular event has just gone on sale. Do not refresh your browser. The page refreshes automatically and will allow fans through as space becomes available. Please wait for your turn.
Why is there a ticket limit?
Promoters may set a maximum number of tickets per customer to ensure fair access. Exceeding this limit may result in some or all of your orders being cancelled without notice. Limits may apply to orders linked by name, email, billing address, credit card, or other identifying information. Check event-specific limits and our Terms and Conditions for details.
Why is there a time limit?
Time limits prevent users from holding tickets without completing the purchase. If the timer expires before finalising your booking, tickets are released to others. To speed up the process, sign up for a My Ticketek account in advance.
What are the age restrictions for my event?
Age restrictions, if applicable, will be listed on the event page. Parents or guardians are responsible for deciding if a show is appropriate. Check the artist or promoter’s website for further details.
Will more shows be added?
Additional performances may be announced by the promoter. If this happens, we update the event page. Keep an eye on the artist, promoter, and Ticketek social media pages for updates.
Can I buy tickets for multiple events in one transaction?
Yes. Click “Add more Tickets” on the payment page to include other events in your basket.
Why can’t I leave a single seat?
This policy maximises seating and prevents single seats being left unsold between bookings.
What does General Admission mean?
General Admission (GA) areas are unallocated and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Seat numbers shown during purchase are for system tracking only and do not reflect actual locations.
Why is there a service and handling fee?
This fee covers the end-to-end ticketing process, including platform support, staffing, and technology. It is applied once per transaction, regardless of the number of tickets purchased. The total fee is shown before completing payment.
Why do tickets sell out so quickly?
High-demand events attract thousands or millions of customers at the same time. Multiple tickets per customer can exhaust allocations in minutes. If a customer does not complete their purchase, tickets may be released back into the system. Pre-sales or early releases may also reduce the number of tickets available during the general public on-sale.
Why are better tickets sometimes available later?
Tickets may be released if previous reservations expire or if promoters/venues release additional allocations. New performances may also be added, which will be updated on the event page.
What if I haven’t received my tickets?
Ticket delivery may be delayed at the request of the promoter or venue. Tickets might not be released until 24–48 hours before the event. Check our Ticket Delivery Live Updates. If tickets still haven’t arrived, visit the venue box office on the day of the event.
