Can I choose a specific seat?
Our system allocates the best available seats within your selected price category at the time of booking. Seat allocations, price points, and categories are determined by the promoter and may vary by event.
For some events, you may have the option to select a specific section, bay or adjust your seat allocation. This feature is only available at selected venues and events and is controlled by the promoter. Always review your allocation before finalising your booking. Once your purchase is confirmed, no changes can be made.
Why can I only buy a single seat?
If only single seats are available, there are no two or more seats together. Purchasing multiple single seats will not guarantee they are adjacent.
As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, single seats cannot be exchanged for grouped seating after the booking is confirmed.
Will better seats be available later?
Tickets may become available after the initial on-sale for several reasons:
Other customers may not complete their transactions, releasing tickets back into the system.
The promoter may hold certain allocations for promotional purposes and release them closer to the event.
Additional allocations may be released by the venue or promoter depending on stage configuration.
All ticket availability is based on promoter instructions, and “better” seats are not guaranteed. Once booked, exchanges and refunds are not offered, so please ensure you are happy with the seat location before confirming your purchase. More details are available in our Terms and Conditions.
Why is my aisle reference different on my ticket?
Some venues display a different reference on the ticket than in your purchase confirmation. Your seating has not changed.
For example, your ticket might list an aisle or door reference closest to your seats, even though your confirmation shows a bay or section. Seats across a row may be listed under different aisles to show the closest access point for each.
I am at the event and have an issue with my seat, what should I do?
Please see a staff member or the venue box office for immediate assistance. Ticketek acts under the instruction of the venue and promoter, so it’s best to resolve the matter with venue staff first.
If the issue cannot be resolved at the time, check the Terms and Conditions before submitting a request to Ticketek.
What is an alcohol-free zone?
Some venues have alcohol-free seating. Patrons seated in these areas are not permitted to carry or consume alcohol.
What does General Admission (GA) mean?
General Admission tickets are unassigned and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. GA areas may be standing or unreserved seating, depending on the event.
You may see a row or seat number on a GA ticket (e.g., RGA/132), but this is only used for inventory and scanning purposes. It does not reflect a specific seat allocation.
What is a restricted or obstructed view?
Restricted or obstructed view tickets are seats where part of the stage or performance may not be visible. These are flagged by the venue based on setup and may be affected by:
Barriers or poles
Side or rear views of the stage
Performance-specific staging or equipment
You will always be notified if you are selecting seats with a restricted view.
