When do tickets go on sale?
To find out when tickets will be available, search for the event on the Ticketek website or app and review the on-sale details on the event page. You can also check the venue, promoter, or artist websites for additional information. Joining the waitlist for the artist or event, or following our social channels, is another good way to stay informed.
Where can I buy tickets?
You can only buy official tickets from:
- The Ticketek website (Ticketek.com.au)
- The Ticketek App
- Agencies (Please check the contact us page for opening hours and locations)
When should I log in?
If you're on the site too early before the sale starts, you may be timed out and lose your place in the queue. Log in close to the on-sale time and have your account and payment details ready.
Should I open Ticketek in multiple tabs or devices?
We do not recommend opening multiple browsers, windows or tabs, or using multiple devices. This can slow down your access and interfere with the booking process.
Why am I seeing the Lounge page?
If you're seeing a busy page, a popular event has just gone on sale. Please stay on the page and do not refresh your browser. The page refreshes automatically and will let fans through as space becomes available. Please wait for your turn.
Why is there a ticket limit?
Promoters may set a maximum number of tickets per customer to ensure fair access. If you exceed this limit, some or all of your orders may be cancelled without notice. This includes orders linked by name, email, billing address, credit card or other identifying information.
You can check event-specific limits and our Terms and Conditions for more details as shown below.

Why is there a time limit?
Time limits are placed on each page to prevent users from holding tickets without completing their purchase. If the timer runs out before you finalise your booking, the tickets are released and made available to others.
To speed up the process, sign up for a My Ticketek account in advance.
What are the age restrictions for my event?
Age restrictions will be listed on the event page if provided. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to decide if a show is appropriate. You may also want to check the artist or promoter’s website for further details.
Will more shows be added?
Can I buy tickets for multiple events in one transaction?
Yes. Click on "Add more Tickets" on the payment page to add other events to your basket.
Why can’t I leave a single seat?
This policy is designed to maximise seating and prevent single seats being left between bookings, which may otherwise go unsold.
What does General Admission mean?
General Admission (GA) means the area is unallocated and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Seat numbers shown during purchase are for system tracking only and do not reflect actual locations.
Why is there a service and handling fee?
This fee covers the end-to-end ticketing process, including platform support, staffing, and technology. It is applied once per transaction, regardless of how many tickets you buy. The total fee will be shown clearly before you complete payment.
Why do tickets sell out so quickly?
High-demand events attract thousands, even millions of customers at the same time. If many fans are buying multiple tickets, allocations can be exhausted in just minutes.
If a customer does not complete the purchase, tickets may be released back into the system. It is worth trying again after a few minutes.
Pre-sales or other early releases may reduce the number of tickets available to the general public on-sale.
Why are better tickets sometimes available later?
Customers who leave tickets in their basket without finalising the transaction before the timer runs out will have all tickets released. Promoters or venues may also release more tickets at a later date.
Additional performances may be announced by the promoter. If this happens, we will update the event page. Please also keep an eye on the artist, promoter and Ticketek social media pages for updates.
What if I haven’t received my tickets?
Ticket delivery may be delayed at the request of the promoter or venue. Tickets might not be released until 24 to 48 hours before the event. Check our Ticket Delivery Live Updates. If tickets still haven’t arrived, visit the venue box office on the day.
