What Do I Do if My Tickets Do Not Sell?
Unsold tickets remain your property, and you will need to use them for the event. Please check your email confirmations. If you do not remove your tickets and they sell, you cannot reverse the sale once completed.
Why Should I Sell on Ticketek Marketplace?
If you are unable to attend an event, Ticketek Marketplace provides a secure and convenient way to sell your tickets. Listing tickets is free, and all proceeds go directly to the seller. The platform connects you to thousands of potential buyers.
How Am I Protected as a Seller?
Ticketek Marketplace guarantees all sale transactions are valid and secure.
Seller Fees
There are no fees for listing or selling tickets on Ticketek Marketplace.
Pricing Your Tickets
Tickets can only be sold up to the original face value.
How Do I Sell My Ticket?
You must have a My Ticketek account. Only tickets purchased under your account can be listed.
Eligible Tickets
Some events are “Declared Events” under Australian legislation and cannot be listed. Event organisers may also restrict resale. Tickets for these events will not appear in your Ticketek Marketplace account.
Hard Tickets
If your ticket is a physical paper ticket, it will be cancelled and reissued in the buyer’s name. You can discard the original ticket.
Venue/Box Office Collect Tickets
Tickets collected at the venue can be sold on Marketplace. They will be cancelled and reissued to the buyer. Ensure tickets were purchased using a MyTicketek account so they appear in Marketplace.
Child/Junior/Concession Tickets
All tickets purchased through Ticketek, including Child, Junior, and Concession tickets, can be listed.
Pre-Authorisation Charges
A 1 cent debit may appear temporarily on your statement. This is a standard bank pre-authorisation and will be removed shortly.
Listing Details
Tickets must be listed as consecutive seats and sold as a group. If you wish to list tickets individually, each ticket must be listed separately. Listings are separated by event.
Removed Listings
Ticketek Marketplace may remove listings. Contact us via the request form if your listing is removed. Review the Terms & Conditions for full details.
Live Listings
Listings appear live almost immediately. You will receive email confirmation. If you cannot see your listing, contact Ticketek.
Sold Tickets
Check your ticket status in your Marketplace account. You will also receive email confirmation when tickets are sold.
Changing a Listing
You can edit or remove a listing at any time before a ticket is sold. Once sold, the listing cannot be changed. Review all details carefully before listing.
Sending Tickets to the Buyer
Tickets are automatically sent to the buyer; no action is required from the seller.
Payment Timeline
Payments are made within 30 business days after the event. Ensure your bank account details are correct, as Ticketek Marketplace is not liable for incorrect payments.
Seller Agreement

Adding Notes or Restrictions
Seat details are automatically reflected in the listing; no additional notes are needed.
Selling Tickets from Outside Australia
Only sellers residing in Australia with an Australian bank account can list tickets. International sellers are not supported.
Incorrectly Sold Tickets
If you cannot supply tickets you’ve listed, notify Ticketek immediately. Administration and replacement fees may apply if Ticketek must intervene.
Uploading or Supplying Tickets
Tickets are automatically reissued with new barcodes and sent to the buyer. Original tickets become void after the sale.
Removing a Listing
Listings can be removed at any time before the ticket is sold.
Why Tickets Cannot Be Listed
Tickets may be unavailable due to declared events or restrictions by the event organiser. Tickets marked “unavailable for listing” cannot be sold.
Changing the Listing Price
You can adjust the price before the ticket is sold, up to the original face value. Once sold, the sale is final, and tickets are automatically reissued to the buyer.
Payments
Payments are made within 30 business days after the event to your nominated Australian bank account. Sellers must be Australian residents with an Australian bank account.
Price Caps
Ticketek Marketplace caps resale prices at the original face value to maintain a fair, safe, and transparent marketplace. This prevents scalping and ensures equitable access for all buyers. All measures comply with relevant legislation and industry best practice.
