What do I do if my Tickets do not sell?
They will remain your property, and you will need to use them for the event. Please keep an eye on your email confirmations, if you do not remove your tickets and they have sold you are not able to change your mind once the tickets have sold.
Why should I sell on Ticketek Marketplace?
If for whatever reason you are unable to attend an event or need to sell your ticket, selling on Marketplace is an easy and secure option. We provide you a platform to sell and quickly connect you to thousands of buyers.
Listing your ticket is free and you will not be charged any other additional fees. All sale proceeds from the ticket go towards the seller.
How am I protected as a seller?
Ticketek Marketplace guarantees all sale transactions are valid.
What are the seller fees?
There are no fees charged towards the seller for listing and selling tickets on our platform.
How much can I sell my tickets for?
As the current ticketholder, you may sell your tickets up to and including the original face value of that ticket.
How do I sell my ticket?
You will need a Ticketek account in order to sell your tickets. Only tickets purchased under your account can be accessed on Marketplace and listed for sale.
Can all tickets in my Ticketek account be listed for sale?
Some events are "Declared Events" under Australian legislation and these events cannot be listed for sale. Selected events are also not permitted for resale on our platform by the event organiser. These events have been removed from Ticketek Marketplace so you will not see these tickets available in your Ticketek Marketplace account.
Where do I send my hard ticket?
If you have a paper ticket that has been sold on Marketplace you can discard the ticket. The ticket will be cancelled and reprinted in the name of the new owner.
My tickets are Venue/Box Office collect. Can I sell them?
Yes, if your tickets are purchased through Ticketek then these tickets will be in your account and can be sold on Marketplace. These tickets will be cancelled and reissued in the name of the new ticket owner.
You will need to make sure you purchased your tickets with a My Ticketek account so that your tickets will appear on Marketplace.
Can I sell Child/Junior/Concession tickets on Ticketek Marketplace?
All tickets purchased from Ticketek can be listed on Marketplace including Child/Junior and Concession.
Why is there a 1 cent debit appearing on my statement?
The bank may run a pre-authorisation validation request to protect against credit card fraud. This is only for a short period of time and the bank will remove this authorisation.
What will my listing look like?
You can only list tickets in consecutive seating and they will appear as a group of tickets. The buyer can then only buy them as sold, so if you list seats 1 & 2 (2 tickets) in the same listing, the buyer has to buy seats 1 & 2, (2 tickets) and can’t just choose seat 1. If you wish to list each ticket individually you will need to list each one separately and associated fees will apply on each listing. Listings are also separated into events.
Why has my listing been removed from the site?
Ticketek Marketplace reserves the right to remove listings, please contact us by submitting a request if this happens. Please read our full Terms & Conditions for more details.
Is my ticket listing live?
You will see your listing appear live almost straight away and you will receive an email confirmation. If you are having trouble viewing your listing online, please let us know and we will investigate.
Have my tickets sold?
Check your ticket listing status in your Marketplace account to see if they are sold. You will also receive an email confirmation if your tickets are sold.
I have listed the wrong ticket. Am I able to change the listing?
If the ticket has already sold you are unable to change the listing. Once you list your ticket on Ticketek Marketplace, it is an agreement to sell those tickets. Please make sure you review all details of your listing before putting it on sale.
You can change your listing at any time before the ticket is sold. Go to your ticket listings to remove your listing and then relist the right ticket. However once your ticket is sold, you are unable to make changes.
When should I send tickets to the Buyer?
Your Ticketek tickets will automatically be sent to the buyer so you don't need to do anything.
When can I expect my payment?
You will receive payment within thirty business days after the event has occurred. We withhold payment to ensure there are no issues with the tickets or the event.
Payment will be made into the bank account you have provided. Please check that all your account details are correct to ensure you receive payment. Ticketek Marketplace will not be liable for any incorrect payments made due to the wrong bank details given in the seller’s profile.
If you haven’t received your payment within 30 business days, please check with your bank first that there are no pending payments before submitting a request.
What is the Seller Agreement for Ticketek Marketplace?
Please head to the Marketplace site to view the terms and conditions for selling tickets.
How do I add notes/restrictions/more details to my listing?
If you are listing tickets that are in your Ticketek Marketplace account, then the details of your seats will be reflected in the listing automatically.
I live overseas. Can I sell a ticket to an event in Australia?
Unfortunately not, at the moment Ticketek Marketplace website will only allow transactions for sellers who reside in Australia and cannot make payments into accounts outside of Australia.
I have sold the wrong tickets and cannot supply tickets.
Please let us know if you cannot supply the tickets you listed, as this can create a bad experience for the buyer. You risk being charged administration and replacement fees if we need to step in and source tickets for you.
How do I upload, or supply tickets for my buyer?
Your Ticketek tickets will be automatically reissued with new barcodes and sent to the buyer. You don't need to do anything. You may discard the original ticket as it becomes void after the sale.
How do I remove my listing?
As long as your listing has not sold, you can log into your account at any time and remove your listing.
Why can't I list my Ticketek tickets for sale?
Some events may not be available to sell on Ticketek Marketplace. This can be because the event is declared or not permitted by the event organiser.
Your tickets will be marked as ‘unavailable for listing‘ if they cannot be resold on our platform.
Can I change the price of my listing?
As long as your listing has not sold, you can log into your account at any time and make changes to your listing. You can remove your ticket listing and relist it at price. Please note the maximum price you can list your ticket capped at up to and including the original face value of that ticket.
Once your listing has sold your sale is guaranteed to the buyer and tickets will be cancelled and reissued to the buyer.
How do I get paid?
Payments will be made within 30 business days after the event date into your nominated Australian bank account. Please make sure you have given the correct details of your bank account as Ticketek Marketplace is not liable for payments made to the wrong account due to incorrect bank details given by the seller.
To sell tickets you must be an Australian resident with an Australian bank account.
Why do you cap the price I can sell my tickets for?
Ticketek Marketplace prides itself on providing a secure, safe, equitable, fair, and ethical solution to ticket resale. We aim to create a transparent ticket marketplace for all our customers, free from the influence or role of any parties intending to engage in conduct to alter or undermine this. This includes scalpers and scammers. To ensure that the experience of Ticketek Marketplace customers meets the objectives and purpose of Ticketek Marketplace, a cap on the price of resold tickets is being introduced. This initiative will prevent excessive ticket pricing and provide equitable access to tickets for genuine buyers and sellers.
These measures also ensure that Ticketek Marketplace meets all legal and legislative requirements. This provides Ticketek Marketplace customers with further comfort that the platform is implementing industry best practice and prioritising the safety and security of all Ticketek Marketplace users.
