Ticketek Marketplace, owned and operated by Ticketek, is a trusted secondary platform where customers can safely buy and sell tickets. It’s designed for those who wish to resell tickets they no longer need or purchase tickets for events that are sold out or unavailable through primary sales.
If you’ve previously purchased tickets through Ticketek, you can quickly list them for resale on Ticketek Marketplace. However, not all events are eligible for resale, so please check the Ticketek Marketplace site for specific event details.
What is Ticketek Marketplace Fan to Fan?
Fan to Fan is a secure platform allowing the general public to buy and sell tickets to events. Ticketek Marketplace facilitates the transaction between buyers and sellers, ensuring that all tickets listed are authentic and that the resale process is safe and efficient.
How Does Fan to Fan Work?
Ticketek Marketplace integrates with your My Ticketek account, which guarantees the authenticity of all tickets listed. Sellers can list tickets they own, and buyers can purchase them securely. Importantly, the resale price of tickets is capped at the original face value to comply with relevant legislation.
Who Can Sell Tickets?
Anyone with an active My Ticketek account who holds eligible tickets can list them for resale. If you used a friend or family member’s credit card to purchase the tickets, it’s recommended you discuss this with them before listing.
Important:
Tickets purchased through Ticketek Groups cannot be resold on Marketplace.
Only tickets purchased directly from Ticketek can be listed.
Sellers must have an Australian bank account to receive payment.
How Does the Secondary Market Work?
The secondary market is where tickets are resold to other customers. For Ticketek events, all resold tickets are reissued with a new barcode, ensuring they remain valid for entry at the event.
My Ticketek Account
A My Ticketek account is your personal account linked to your Ticketek purchases. All tickets purchased online are stored here, and this account is required to list tickets for resale on Ticketek Marketplace.
Ticket Eligibility and Restrictions
Check the Ticketek Marketplace site to see if your event is eligible for resale.
If resale isn’t available, the event organiser has not activated it.
Tickets purchased through Ticketek Groups cannot be sold on the platform.
Only tickets purchased directly from Ticketek can be listed; non-Ticketek tickets are not eligible.
Managing Your Listings
You can edit, cancel, relist, or adjust the price of your tickets at any time before they are sold. Full instructions and guidance are available on the Ticketek Marketplace site.
Payments and Delivery
Seller payments: After the event concludes, payments are deposited within 30 business days.
Buyer tickets: Delivery is usually immediate or within 48 hours, but may be delayed if requested by the promoter or venue. Check your order history or confirmation email to access tickets or check our live delivery updates page.
