Can I Check if My Ticket is Valid?

Ticketek is only able to verify the validity of tickets purchased through our official channels:

• Ticketek website or app
• Ticketek Marketplace (our authorised resale platform)

We cannot confirm the validity of tickets purchased through other resale sites or third-party sellers.

Important Information About Unauthorised Tickets

We strongly advise against purchasing tickets from unauthorised sellers or resale platforms, such as Ticketmerchant, Tixel, Viagogo, eBay, Queen of Tickets, StubHub, Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree. These platforms are not affiliated with Ticketek, and we cannot guarantee that tickets purchased through them are legitimate.

Tickets purchased from unauthorised sellers may:

• Be cancelled without notice
• Fail to grant entry to the event
• Leave you with no recourse for refunds or assistance from Ticketek

Warning Signs of an Unauthorised or Scam Listing

Watch out for these red flags before buying from a reseller:

• The price is significantly above the ticket's face value.
• The seller asks for direct bank transfer, cash, or gift cards instead of a secure payment method.
• There's no buyer protection, guarantee, or refund policy offered.
• The listing appeared after the event was showing as “sold out” through official channels.
• The seller is reluctant to provide proof of purchase or ticket details before payment.
• You're asked to communicate or pay outside the platform the ticket was listed on.

What to Do if You've Purchased from an Unauthorised Source

If you have already purchased tickets from a non-Ticketek source:

• Contact the seller or resale platform directly to resolve any issues.
• Ticketek cannot provide support or verification for tickets not issued through our official channels.

Reporting a Suspicious Listing

If you believe you've encountered a scam listing or unauthorised seller:

• Report it directly to the platform it appeared on (e.g. Facebook, Gumtree, eBay).
• If you've lost money to a scam, report it to ACCC Scamwatch.
• If the listing falsely claims to be affiliated with Ticketek, please let us know.

Stay Safe When Buying Tickets

To ensure your tickets are valid and avoid disappointment:

• Always purchase through Ticketek or Ticketek Marketplace.
• Avoid third-party resale sites unless they are officially authorised by Ticketek or the event promoter.
• Check your order confirmation and digital tickets through your Ticketek account or app.
