The Sydney Sixers are excited to be hosting their first ever BBL Final and are looking to finish off the season with a high. However the early forecast for Saturday in Sydney has forced Cricket Australia to reconsider their original idea of playing the Bushfire Cricket Bash before the BBL09 Final at the SCG on February 8. The decision has been made to protect the integrity of the BBL09 Final, giving it the best chance possible to go ahead as scheduled at the SCG.
A ticket to the BBL Final is part of The Big Appeal, raising funds for bushfire relief. All match profits and funds raised on the day will go to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.

The Bushfire Cricket Bash before the BBL09 Final at the SCG has been cancelled.
Will the event still go ahead?
Absolutely, the BBL09 Final will still be played on Saturday 8th Feb as planned with revised times

BBL 09 Final: 7:15pm
Are refunds available?
Yes, we understand that some customers may be disappointed that the Bushfire Cricket Bash match isn’t going ahead and wish to seek a refund on this basis.
As this event is currently sold out, please make sure you are 100% sure you want us to refund your tickets. Once we have the request and the refund has been processed it may not be possible to purchase tickets again.
Please note that requesting a refund will mean your ticket no longer gives you access to the BBL09 Final at the SCG.
Any public ticket refund requests because the Bushfire Cricket Bash match is no longer being played need to be made and received no later than 12pm Friday 7th February.

Refunds will then be processed back to the original card used for the purchase.
