Kennards Hire Rally Australia Coffs Coast, including the final round of the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship, will not go ahead this week as a result of serious bushfires that continue to affect much of northern NSW.
Organisers announced the cancellation this morning after extensive consultation with the NSW Government, the international motor sports governing body FIA, emergency services and the local community.
Event Chairman Andrew Papadopoulos said the cancellation was the only course available, considering the safety of the more than 1000 people involved as officials, competitors and in support roles.
“Considering the best interests and safety of everyone involved in the rally, and of course the wider community, it is not appropriate to conduct the rally,” he said.
“Our thoughts are with the NSW community, especially the people who have lost loved ones, livelihoods and homes as a result of the fires in northern NSW, and we thank the Rally community for your support and understanding.”

How will refunds be processed?
Online, mobile & phone transactions
You don't need to do anything! We will automatically refund the tickets in full back to the same card used for the purchase (including ticket insurance premium, if relevant).
Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to appear in your account.
Agency or Gift Voucher transactions
If you have purchased in an agency, or have used Ticketek gift vouchers for the entire purchase, you will be contacted via phone in the next 14 days to arrange your refund.
We will be asking for a BSB and Account number to refund to. After we have these details from you please allow another 10 days for the refund to be made.
My card has been cancelled, what do I do?

If your card has only changed its card number or expiry due to a lost or replacement card, as long as the same card account is still open the funds can still be made payable to the original card and you do not need to supply us with new details.
We will action all requests as quickly as possible, however we cannot guarantee that a refund has not already been processed back to your card.
